My Story

Welcome! My name is Kathryn and I am a 26-year-old nutrition student at Arizona State University. I am originally from Ohio, but moved to Arizona in the spring of 2011. I graduated in 2009 from Xavier University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing. While I enjoyed what I studied, after graduation I was not too fond of the various jobs I had. After working full-time for a couple of years I decided to pursue my passion and transition to a career in the nutrition field.

Currently, I am a dietetics major at ASU working on my second bachelor’s degree and aspire to be a registered dietitian (RD). I love the field nutrition and that new evidence is always emerging and always changing. I started this site as a way to share my thoughts and opinions, as well as share recipes. And of course, sometimes share some of my daily activities, so it won’t be all about food all the time!

I have always loved art and drawing, and I use this space to combine my two loves of art and nutrition!

*Disclaimer: Althought I am currently a nutrition student, I am not an RD (yet). All opinions are my own and you should consult a health professional before any major diet or lifestyle change! I use my textbooks, course lecture materials, and evidence-based journal articles as references. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Your blog is adorable and I felt like I could really relate to your story. I’m from Ohio and I recently graduated with a degree in PR (sort of similar to marketing..) and am now becoming more and more intrigued by nutrition. Though I did read your post today and that exam sounded challenging! For now, I’m going to enjoy not being in school, but who knows what the future will bring.

    Ps-your dog is adorable.

Thank you Erin! Where are you at in Ohio? If you ever have any questions about going back to school or whatnot just let me know! I know firsthand what it’s like to go through a quarter-life crisis and start over with school and I love to give advice about it.
